Residential Drywall Services, Hanging

In Drywall, hanging refers to the placement of the wallboard, plasterboard or sheetrock. The wallboards are made up of a building material compromised of a sheet of gypsum sandwiched between two pieces of heavy paper, used mainly for interior walls and ceilings.

As opposed to a week-long plaster application, an entire house can be dry walled in a few days by J & R Custom Walls experienced technicians. Doing the job right means using screws of the correct length, off-setting panels so seams don’t line up, and making sure wires and pipes aren't vulnerable to puncture.

When drywall is hung on wood framing, screws having an acute point and widely spaced threads are used. When drywall is hung on light-gauge steel framing, screws having an acute point and finely spaced threads are used. In some applications, the drywall may be attached to the wall with adhesives. J & R Custom Walls experienced drywall applicators can easily determine the most effective way to hang drywall.
